To all of our judges, the Beverage Warehouse, 14th Star Brewing Co., and Farrell Distributing want to thank you so much for lending us your palates last Sunday for the 3rd year of Make the Cut! We all understand how crazy schedules are these days, so for all of you to come together to help with this makes quite the Vermont impression. We have been overwhelmed with positive comments about the evolution of this contest from both the homebrewers and the judges alike!
To all those thirsty Vermont beer consumers who are looking to celebrate this great challenge, see below.
Without further ado, our 2 finalists are:
Chris Kessler from Jericho, VT with a New England Style IPA
Ted Oritz Y Pino from Georgia, VT with a Fruit Sour
These gentlemen are beyond excited and we have enjoyed our interaction with them so much already.
These two finalists are currently scheduling times to brew at 14th Star and once the beer is ready, it will go to our pouring partners sometime in April. The pouring partners will be selling both beers in tasting pairs for the head-to-head people’s vote that will determine the winner, so look for the two finalists brew’s on tap at:
- Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery
- The Reservoir
- Prohibition Pig
- Doc Ponds
- Worthy Kitchen
- The Farmhouse Tap & Grill
- The Bench
- Mule Bar
- Three Penny Taproom
- Beverage Warehouse of Vermont Growler Bar
- 14th Star Brewing Company, LLC
The winning homebrewer will then do a run of 30 BBLS and have it kegged and canned, receive a cool grand from the Beverage Warehouse and pour at the 2017 Vermont Brewers Festival. 100% entry fee’s we have collected also go to Charity (love)!
