FARRELL DISTRIBUTING ALONG WITH LEUNIG’S BISTRO & 12 OTHER LOCAL RESTAURANTS COME TOGETHER TO RAISE $21,280.00 FOR THE BREAST CARE CENTER AT UVM MEDICAL CENTER! ALMOST $300,000 HAS BEEN RAISED OVER THE LAST 16 YEARS WITH THIS PROGRAM!

South Burlington, VT — During the months of September and October, Farrell Distributing, along with 13 Vermont Restaurants dedicated a portion of sales from selected wines, beer and cider to our local medical center. $1.00 for every bottle of wine bottle sold, every pint of von Trapp Brewery, and every can of Champlain Orchards was part of the mix who all pitched in to help.

Restaurants that participated were Leunigs, The Windjammer Restaurant, The Essex Resort, Shanty on the Shore, Table 24, The Bistro at Ten Acres, Harrison’s Restaurant and Bar, The Skinny Pancake group, The Chubby Muffin, Pauline’s, The Perfect Wife Restaurant & Tavern, Fire and Ice Restaurant, Hinesburg Public House.

From Bob Conlon, GM of Leunigs Bistro and founder of this fundraiser, “Since my wife Betsy’s diagnosis and fantastic treatment 11 years ago, we have tried to show our gratitude by supporting other local patients.  Leunigs does not have one guest or employee who doesn’t know someone who has dealt with breast cancer.  With the help of all our partners in the hospitality industry we provide enjoyment, comfort and community.  Raise a glass with us to salute successes against breast cancer”.

According to Ryan Chaffin, Director of Marketing for Farrell Distributing, “This annual campaign that we participate in, alongside some of the finest restaurants in the state of Vermont is so important to us at Farrell. It’s wonderful to see the passion and commitment our team puts into it and how we push to make it bigger and bigger each year. A nurse from the center told me just because you have cancer doesn’t mean the bills stop coming! Because of that we want to help do our part as a local, independently owned third generation Vermont business.
