Company History

The Farrell Distributing Corporation is a wholesale beverage distributor with offices and warehouse facilities located in South Burlington, and Rutland, Vermont.

Thomas A. Farrell and several of his brothers started the Company in 1933. In those days, the Company was known as M. M. Farrell & Sons, and was operated out of a small warehouse on Pine Street in Burlington. M. M. Farrell & Sons was the first licensed distributor in Vermont after the end of the prohibition period.

Today, the Company operates throughout Vermont and is known as The Farrell Distributing Corporation. The Company President and C.E.O. is David M. Farrell.

Awards

NE Region: In 2003 Farrell Distributing Corporation received 100% compliance in Anhueuser-Busch's National Recognition Program.

Farrell Distributing achieved the status level of Gold through the Anheuser-Busch Dimension of Excellence Program in 1986. The status of Ambassador (the top 5% of all Anheuser-Busch wholesalers) was achieved in 1992 and 1993. In 1998, Farrell Distributing was named Wholesaler of the Year for the New England Region.

Our product lines include beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our beer suppliers include Anheuser-Busch, Inc., High Falls Brewing, Long Trail, Harpoon, Rolling Rock and Saranac.

Wine products include Gallo, Sutter Home, Kobrand, Wine Group, and Palm Bay. Our N/A (non-alcoholic) Division provides products from the follow suppliers; Snapple, Very Fine, Clearly Canadian, Harpoon Specialty Soda, Celsius, Steaz Green Tea Soda, and Monster Energy drink among others.
