Mead is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, and frequently fruits, spices, grains or hops. When you mix water and honey and ferment it with yeast, you get mead, an alcoholic drink often referred to as “honey wine“. There are close to a 100 Meadery’s in the country, learn about our three partners we proudly represent here in Vermont.
