Building Community Through Partnerships

COMMUNITY COLLABORATION

Throughout its history, Farrell Distributing has partnered with local organizations to help those in need throughout Vermont, while supporting our local arts, and other signature events. These partnerships reflect our commitment to giving back and creating a strong, supportive statewide network.

Folds of Honor

In partnership with the Vermont Lake Monsters, we launched this campaign to fund scholarships aimed at assisting Vermont’s military families in 2013. The program funded six $5,000 scholarships through 2019, with more to come!

Business to Business Support

Farrell Distributing is a proud member and partner of numerous chambers and business organizations, helping sponsor member gatherings and through legislative advocacy.

Responsibility Campaigns

We work with some of the top media outlets in the state each year to reinforce important responsibility campaigns: “Don’t Drink and Drive,” “Please Recycle,” “Our Roads Our Responsibility,” and “Give a Damn, Don’t Drive Drunk."

USBG VT

Partnering with the U.S. Bartenders’ Guild Vermont Chapter, we are committed to provide craft beer related training. These training sessions focus on the basics of brewing, the history of beer, beer styles and proper serving and storing techniques for publicans. The goal of the trainings is to educate and inform Vermont’s premier bartenders and to prepare them for any beer certifications which they may chose to pursue.

Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation

Farrell supports Zero Gravity Brewing in many efforts to help raise awareness for this great organization. Ryan Hawks was a dynamic human being with a passion and love for the mountains and skiing. As a competitor on the Subaru Freeskiing World Tour, Ryan was well loved, and known as “Flyin Ryan.” In 2011, Ryan was injured at the Kirkwood, CA tour stop and passed away a few days later due the internal injuries he sustained from his fall. Ryan will always be remembered for being a true participant in life who lived every minute.

Shortly after Ryan passed, his family discovered on his computer a set of 13 Core Principles For Living that he had written himself. The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation was established to share these values, extend Ryan’s humanity in an effort to enrich the lives of young adventurers and make the world a better place.

24 Hours of Stratton

This skiing and snowboarding event is designed for people of all ages and ability. Winter sports enthusiasts come together at Vermont’s premier snow-making resort for one of the largest and most magical fundraising events to help underprivileged children in a way that … CHANGES LIVES! We partner with Michelob Ultra.

University of Vermont Medical Center Breast Care Center Program

Farrell Distributing, along with 20+ local restaurants, and 20+ retail stores that came on board in 2020 has raised more than $400,000 over the last 20 years through this program. For every bottle of selected fine wines from Deutsch purchased in the months of September and October, participating restaurants and Farrell Distributing will each donate $1.00 to our local cancer center at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Also, more recently, von Trapp Brewery has jumped in as well, so every pint of von Trapp sold during these months adds a .25cent donation as well. Please support the participating restaurants that partner to raise funds for our local Cancer Center, found on Facebook during the months of September and October.

Burlington Discover Jazz Festival

Along with Zero Gravity Craft Brewery and Dark Horse Winery, we serve as signature sponsors for this annual 5-day music and cultural event. This year, the annual Burlington Discover Jazz Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary with amazing live music in Burlington, Vermont. In 1983, the Festival gave Vermont’s flourishing jazz community the recognition it deserved – a celebration combining incredible local talent with jazz legends from every corner of the globe. Throughout the event, the city comes alive.

Vermont Lake Monsters

Farrell Distributing is a partner with the Lake Monsters,  a collegiate summer baseball team located in Burlington, Vermont. From 1994 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball’s New York–Penn League. They play their home games at Centennial Field, one of the oldest minor league stadiums, on the campus of the University of Vermont. The Beer Pavilion in right field offers exceptional views, and cold beer!

Champlain Valley Exposition

As a partner of the Champlain Valley Exposition, we sponsor the Bud Light Music Series, bringing some of the best national music talent to the Exposition stage and thousands of Vermonters. Our teams are around all week, hosting events and samplings, so come by and say hello.

People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relay

Farrell Distributing and Michelob Ultra are proud sponsors of the Vermont City Marathon, Vermont’s largest one-day sporting event. The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon & Relay is a community effort, recognizing all those who have had a hand in making the race a success for 26 years. From the runners and the volunteers to the crowds cheering on the sidelines, we all share the same desire to cross the finish line, now and in the future.

“The Windjammer & Upper Deck Pub has done business with Farrell’s for over 30 years. We enjoy the advantages of working with locally owned and operated companies. Not only do they deliver exceptional products, but their customer service is also the best in the industry. We look forward to the next 30 years.

Jeff Baker, the Curator of the Curriculum at Farrell Distributing is simply amazing at what he does. His vast wealth of knowledge in anything craft beverage related is impressive to say the least. Any restaurant or bar that could tap into his “library” for a training would not be disappointed.”

Daniel Phelan, General Manager
Windjammer & Upper Deck Pub

“Farrell Distributing is the preferred beer and wine vendor of Maplefields. They have the knowledge and expertise that many other beer vendors do not possess. I consider them to be my Category Captain when it comes to dealing with my beer, craft and cider business. Farrell Distributing seems to have the pulse of the beer business at hand when many other beer vendors are just winging it. When planning and executing new beer sets in my stores, Farrell Distributing has my complete trust that they will do what is in the best interest of my business and my customers. This is rare in Vermont, most vendors only care about their numbers or the pressure they are receiving to carry so many packages from a particular brewer.

My Key Account Manager is very proactive with their products, always rotating in new “hot” items and keeping the sets full of fresh great selling beer for my customers. He does a great job of managing the many different key brands that they have in their portfolio. I would recommend Farrell Distributing over any other Beer vendor, not only in Vermont, but in Upstate New York and New Hampshire. If I could deal with only Farrell Distributing in all 3 states for all my Anheuser Busch needs, I would be very happy, not to mention I’d have a little less stress in my work day.”

“Here at RunVermont, we understand what it takes to produce a great event, and when it comes to the Vermont City Marathon, it’s an effort of thousands of people. It takes runners, volunteers, all of our neighbors along the course and great partners like Farrell Distributing, all coming together on Memorial Day Weekend to produce lifetime memories. Every year their entire team steps up to go the extra mile for our event and they always deliver. They are an integral part of the fabric of this event as their support makes the difference between great and extraordinary. They’re with us every step of the way and always want to know “how can we help?” Dave, Ryan, Nichole and the entire team at Farrell’s make a difference every day here in Vermont, they know the secret to living is giving.
